Tripura is on track to become one of the leading states for startups in Northeast India. Recently, the state government announced a ₹50 crore fund allocation under its Startup Policy 2024 to support 101 emerging businesses across various sectors. This initiative aims to provide seed capital, operational support, and mentorship to entrepreneurs with innovative ideas.

The scheme is designed to cover businesses in sectors such as agriculture, IT, manufacturing, and tourism, offering a comprehensive approach to startup development. Entrepreneurs can avail themselves of benefits such as reimbursement for operational costs, seed funding for their ventures, and business mentoring.

This funding is expected to create a vibrant ecosystem for startups in Tripura and enable them to become self-sustaining while contributing to the state’s economy. The initiative will also encourage youth employment and make Tripura a major hub for emerging enterprises.
