Guwahati: Showcasing Assam’s growing entrepreneurial talent on a national stage, three startups incubated under Assam Startup – The Nest have bagged top honors at the National Innovation Challenge 2024, organized by the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog.

The winning startups – Arohan Foods, Innotech Interventions, and EcoCraft – stood out among hundreds of entries from across the country, earning recognition for their impactful solutions in sectors like sustainable agriculture, healthcare technology, and eco-friendly product innovation.

The National Innovation Challenge is a flagship initiative aimed at identifying and supporting high-potential startups working on scalable, socially impactful innovations. Winners receive funding support, mentorship from industry experts, and national-level visibility.

Speaking about the achievement, an official from Assam Startup – The Nest said, “This is a proud moment for Assam. These wins validate the quality of innovation coming out of our state and highlight the effectiveness of our incubation and mentoring programs.”

Arohan Foods, a startup focused on value-added meat products, impressed judges with its work in sustainable livestock farming. Innotech Interventions earned accolades for its affordable diagnostic healthcare solutions targeting rural communities, while EcoCraft stood out with its biodegradable packaging products made from agricultural waste.

These successes come as Assam continues to strengthen its startup ecosystem through targeted policies, infrastructure development, and capacity-building initiatives. With more local startups gaining national recognition, the state is steadily positioning itself as a key innovation hub in the Northeast.
